Passionate about photography since 2000 when I bought my first digital camera, I discovered in 2017 that there are sites where you can publish your photos to be seen and possibly used by other people around the world if they find them interesting. I then started posting photos of all genres on Pexels, then on Stockvault, and since 2019 on Pixabay, which seemed more suitable for my way of working with photos.
I took many types of photos without preparing them in advance, most of them being snapshots on the streets, in parks, cities, buildings. Many of them also include people, animals, birds, nature. I use several Nikon DSLR cameras and several compatible lenses.
Starting in July 2025, Pixabay began filtering photos much more strictly and subjectively, so many contributors withdrew. I also stopped posting photos because my favorite genre (street photography) is currently not favored by their reviewers.
More recently, I've started publishing audio tracks on the site, most of them made with the help of AI. I've never used AI in photography; all my images are real (snapshots), except for a very small number of compositions where I combined several into one.
Because I still enjoy taking photos, on this personal site I will post photos taken after the moment I stopped uploading to Pixabay. By clicking the "Download" button present on every photo page, you can download images in their original resolution (even on older pages where this notification does not appear). Currently I have also started developing a music section (audio tracks): MUSIC.
What I find unique about this website is that it runs on a tablet (Blackview Active 8 Pro featuring 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM) powered by its own battery (which I recharge roughly every two weeks) and connected wirelessly to the internet router in my apartment. I use the DDNS service provided by my ISP, and Nginx serves as the web server. I connect to the tablet via SSH from a Windows PC, where I perform all the editing. To get the project off the ground, I relied on advice from ChatGPT, as my programming knowledge while present wasn't sufficient to handle everything on my own.
This site is under development and will grow gradually!
