Description:
A richly painted vaulted gallery draws visitors beneath layers of color, ornament, and classical imagery
The Galleria Clementina unfolds beneath an elaborate vault, where gilded patterns, framed paintings, and delicate ornament transform the ceiling into a world of its own. Warm light brings out the rich blues, reds, and golds, while visitors moving below offer a sense of the gallery’s immense scale. Every arch leads the eye onward, through a passage where architecture and art come together in a celebration of beauty and history.
